Therapy is for everyone. Life can be tough at times and there is no “one size fits all” approach to addressing the stressors that we face as a population, let alone as an individual.
“There is tremendous freedom in not believing every thought we have and understanding that we are the thinker of our thoughts, not the thoughts themselves. Our minds are powerful tools, and if we do not become consciously aware of the disconnection between our authentic Selves and our thoughts, we give our thoughts too much control in our daily lives.”- Dr Nicole LePera
Licensed Master Social Worker
Stefani Smith
There isn’t any relationship in a person’s life that can compare to the kind of relationship shared between a client and their therapist, and that is what makes this connection so invaluable. A lot of us are fortunate enough to have people in our lives that we can both confide in and seek advice from, but it is quite normal in this day and age to need more support than our friends and family can provide. Coincidentally, this extra support can come from a person that initially begins as a stranger.

My primary goal as a therapist is to establish a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere where you feel both comfortable and capable of collaborating with me to shed light on areas of your life that require more attention. Together we will assess the nature of any presenting difficulties you may have, and then we will strategize to either identify solutions or establish coping skills that will work for you. The goal is to help you live a happier, more fulfilling life.

Stefani received her B.A. in Psychology from Stony Brook University followed by an MSW from Fordham University. She has experience in the field of behavioral health working with various populations including adolescents, adults with diagnosed mental health disorders, veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and more. She also works as a social worker on an inpatient medical unit, and therefore understands the interconnected nature of our physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Outside of work, as an otherwise unartistic person, she enjoys the beauty and creativity of makeup. She also loves spending time traveling to new and old places, as well as playing on her Nintendo Switch.

Katherine Orobona
Our childhood, history, and personal myths about ourselves are powerful forces that have the ability to shape our interpersonal relationships and behaviors; worldview and ourselves. At some point, we all have experiences, challenges or life altering experiences that will have the ability to change our trajectory, bring us to a cross road or that will challenge our core beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. Through my work with individuals, families and couples I have enjoyed helping others to navigate these obstacles in order to transform these adverse experiences into opportunities of growth; and I have enjoyed helping others gain insight in order to affect positive change that leads to healthier relationships with others and with their own self.
My professional experiences have allowed me the honor to work with a variety of individuals to help them address different issues within their lives including: mood and anxiety disorders, parenting issues, addictions, eating disorders, narcissistic abuse, self-injury and suicidality, persistent mental illness’, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, couples issues, and vocational and employment related concerns.
